Hello Fellow Dems,
Well, the trump train and Kentucky legislature keeps trucking along in the downward spiral. While we keep hearing how the “Dems are reeling” and the “Dems can’t find their footing” as well as the “Dems keep trying to figure out a way to fight back.” Yet, we are protesting, writing emails, letters to the editors, making phone calls and speaking up and out. What we are hearing is the echo chamber of MAGA. Sadly, too many of the talking heads and pundits are buying into this rhetoric that Dems are down and out and there’s not hope; only MAGA.
I call bull. Any more I only listen to them to find out what they are not reporting. For real information and to make my own decisions, I listen/watch BBC, local news (NOT Sinclair like Channel 12), NPR, APR and attend meetings and protests. And always, always get at least two or three different sources.
The Congress and Legislature are bullying ahead with nonsensical and useless actions. Actions such as a budget that takes money away from the working class and gives it to the rich, the “DOGE” (which might be pronounce doggie) ramrodding through our federal bureaucracy and destroying all confidence in the hardworking employees while leaving the do nothing Congress and trump alone. The Legislature passing anti-education, progun again nonsensical laws that do nothing to help the people. Got something to say? Call them! Here are the numbers:
Federal: Congressional Switchboard – (202) 224-3121
State: LRC – (800) 372-7181
Checking with Forwardky.com on legislature bills, etc.
Below is a list of happenings that we can attend. Also, I’m including the local meetings list in case you don’t have a copy of the meeting agendas. If anyone wants to go to a meeting, be sure to contact others and carpool–the more we can get to attend gatherings and protests, the more apt we are to get our word out. Keep an eye on Facebook pages including ours, NKY Resistance, etc.

FYI: William Howard Taft Rd will be closed between Columbia Parkway and E. McMillan, so this will be at the intersection right before the closure. Be smart; stay on public sidewalks; bring friends & signs & flags.
